Traidcraft Fair Trade Brown Basmati Rice. Even kitchen staples can be ethical. This light and fluffy Fairtrade Basmati brown rice is grown and harvested by smallholder farmers in India. This traditional brown rice is a wholegrain alternative to white rice that's as ethical as it is wholesome. Keep a pack or two in the kitchen cupboard for spontaneous curries and stir fries.

Cooking instructions: Always rinse Basmati rice before cooking. Boil water in a pan, add salt if desired. Add the rice and bring it back to the boil before lowering the heat and allowing it to simmer for 20-25 minutes. Drain and rinse, then serve and enjoy.
